A statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday indicated that Pakistan’s military successfully intercepted 25 Israeli-made Harop drones that India had deployed into Pakistani airspace overnight.
The incident follows a tragic attack by Indian forces on Pakistani civilians, which resulted in 31 fatalities. Pakistan has condemned the assault, labeling India’s actions as “acts of terrorism” and accusing it of repeatedly violating the ceasefire agreement along the Line of Control (LoC).

Pakistan Collects Debris of Downed Israeli-Made Drones, Vows Strong Response
Pakistan’s military media wing reported that debris from the destroyed Israeli-made Harop drones is being gathered from multiple sites across the country. It highlighted that the Pakistan Army is providing a “strong and decisive response to the adversary, foiling all of its malicious intentions.
In a related development, India’s defense ministry confirmed that its forces carried out strikes on several sites within Pakistan earlier today. According to the Indian news outlet ANI, the Indian military deployed Harpy drones to target Pakistan’s air defense systems. The Harop drone, which is included in the database of Israeli military and security exports, is an upgraded version of the Harpy.

The Indian ministry also accused Pakistan of escalating ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC), where troops from both sides have been engaged in sustained cross-border exchanges in recent days.

The ANI report described the Harpy drone as “specifically engineered to target radar systems and optimized for Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) missions, featuring a high-explosive warhead.
In an early morning press briefing, ISPR Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry revealed that Pakistani forces had successfully intercepted 12 drones launched by India overnight.
He reported that four military personnel sustained injuries when one drone-not among those neutralized-partially struck a military installation.
The ISPR chief outlined the locations where the 12 drones were downed: Lahore, Attock, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, and Bahawalpur in Punjab, along with Miano in Sukkur, Chhor in Umerkot, and areas near Karachi in Sindh.
Lt Gen Chaudhry stated, “While 12 drones were successfully intercepted, one managed to cause partial damage to a military target near Lahore.”
He mentioned that four Pakistan Army soldiers were wounded in the attack near Lahore, and some military equipment was partially damaged. The DG ISPR also noted that one civilian was killed and another injured in Miano due to Indian drone activity.

During the press briefing, the military spokesperson presented a series of images showing the wreckage of the downed drones, noting that the debris was being recovered from multiple locations. The DG ISPR emphasized that this represents a serious provocation.
He also noted that these actions follow India’s unsuccessful attempts on the night of May 6 and 7, when they attacked places of worship and civilian infrastructure, resulting in the death of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.
He went on to say, “After losing five aircraft, multiple drones, and suffering significant casualties along the LoC, it seems that India has lost its sense of direction. Instead of choosing a path of reason, India appears to be escalating the situation further, driven by the hubristic mindset of its leadership,” Lt. Gen. Chaudhry remarked.
He added, “The international community can clearly see the path India is choosing, engaging in extremely provocative military actions in a highly sensitive region, endangering not just regional but The DG ISPR underscored that Pakistan’s armed forces are “fully prepared to respond to any potential threat,” before reiterating the details of the downed Indian drones in Urdu.
