KAKUL: PM Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm stance against terrorism in all its forms and expressions. According to NewsFastTv, he stated that Pakistan, as a responsible nation, is willing to participate in any neutral, transparent, and credible investigation into the Pahalgam incident.

While speaking at the passing-out parade of Pakistan Military Academy cadets, the Prime Minister emphasized that water is a critical national interest for Pakistan and a lifeline for its 240 million citizens. He firmly stated, “There should be no doubt that its availability will be protected under all circumstances and at any cost.”
Pakistan’s Courageous Armed Forces
In a clear reference to India’s decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, the Prime Minister warned that “any effort to halt, diminish, or divert Pakistan’s rightful share of water under the Indus Waters Treaty will be met with full strength and determination, and no one should be under any illusion or misunderstanding about this.”
The Prime Minister affirmed that Pakistan’s courageous armed forces are fully equipped and prepared to safeguard the nation’s territorial integrity and sovereignty against any form of aggression, as demonstrated by their decisive and measured response to India’s reckless incursion in February 2019. He stressed that there should be no doubt regarding this commitment.

He affirmed that the nation’s 240 million citizens stand firmly with their courageous armed forces, united in their commitment to defend every inch of their homeland. “Let this message be heard loud and clear by all ,” he declared.
The ceremony was graced by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, senior military leaders, members of the diplomatic corps, and the cadets’ parents.

He emphasized that Pakistan would uphold its unwavering commitment to contributing responsibly and constructively to global peace and security, grounded in its belief in the unity of humanity. The prime minister also recalled that the founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, had aptly described Kashmir as Pakistan’s jugular vein.

He noted that the internationally recognized dispute remained unresolved despite numerous UN resolutions and reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, honoring their tremendous struggle and sacrifices.
The Prime Minister further stated that Afghanistan is Pakistan’s neighboring country, and it is their sincere wish to maintain peaceful relations at all times. However, he regretted that despite their best and genuine efforts, terrorist activities continued to emerge from Afghan soil.

In contrast, he emphasized, Pakistan consistently condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
He stated that, as the world’s frontline state in the fight against terrorism, Pakistan had suffered immense losses, enduring 90,000 human casualties and incurring economic damages exceeding $600 billion.
He questioned who could understand this profound pain better than Pakistanis, who had made the greatest sacrifices in the battle against terrorism, and asked rhetorically which nation had suffered more than Pakistan.

The PM Shehbaz Sharif affirmed their unwavering resolve, declaring that they would not tolerate terrorism in any form or manifestation, a stance they had proven beyond any doubt. Speaking on the economy, he said that after a period of stagnation, Pakistan was now making courageous strides toward economic recovery.
Although the journey ahead remained long and filled with challenges, he expressed confidence that, with the prayers of the people and the help of Allah Almighty, They would persist in advancing with unwavering determination.
He explained that these efforts were leading to significant achievements, attracting foreign investment into crucial sectors such as mining, agriculture, livestock, IT, and defense production.

The PM Shehbaz Sharif also mentioned that on the diplomatic front, Pakistan had revitalized long-standing, trusted friendships while establishing new relationships to expand its global reach. As a non-permanent member of the UNSC for the 2025-26 term, PM Shehbaz Sharif Pakistan was fully committed to promoting global peace and security and upholding the principles of the UN Charter, he emphasized.
